Call you phone company and ask if your calls have been intercepted
... by the NSA

Time to start kicking back

ask about your "Privacy Policy" and "Terms of Service" and how it is related to secret government spying.

Tell them they are in violation of their contract with you for not disclosing their wiretapping without a court order!!

1. We have a rural phone co-op. We also have known the FBI listens
We can go out to the place they have the equipment locked away. Now, the rest of America is finding out we're not just loonies in the boonies, sadly.

Even if one's own phone server is not rolling over for the feds, at some point, don't most calls pass other companies transmission lines/waves? Seems no matter who you write the monthly check to, your calls can be intercepted.

Microwave relays... no wires to tap anyway... just grab the calls outta thin air.

No wonder they're sticking their fingers into the Internet pie.

8. What if everyone started calling their traditional phone companies
and told them they are switching to Vonage. Jam the lines. We have the power!

9. I called Sprint - here's what happened:
The first person I talked to was completely clueless and hadn't heard the news - she eventually found a supervisor of some sort to help me. I was told that their company has not turned over phone records to the NSA, but he did tell me the FBI "has ways" of getting information if necessary. I tried to get him to elaborate on that by mentioning warrants, and he said the FBI doesn't need warrants, they have "back door channels" they use to get what they need. He wouldn't say anything else. I thanked him and hung up.

Hmmm......
