"Kingdom Coming: The Rise of Christian Nationalism"
Did anyone hear the author, Michelle Goldberg on Fresh Air just now?
OMG! Scary stuff...about how the Dominionists are being funneled into govt. positions by this adminstration. I'm almost afraid to get this book, it's so depressing how well organized and MOTIVATED these wackos are! :scared:

5. Don't worry, they're working on that.
That is, after all, part of the reason we're in Iraq, ie the "New Babylon". It's also part of the reason we're going into Iran and Syria. All to bring about Armageddon, and then the rapture:eyes: And yes, these people are quite scary, and sadly they're in power.

Want to read another good take on this read Kevin Phillip's "American Theocracy" Very, very scary stuff.

from an American Indian ...

Something along the lines of... those who believe in some great hereafter should just go there already, and leave those of us who believe the gift from divine is here, to care for it properly.

Something along those lines...

7. Patrick Henry College outside DC is also responsible.
Fundy university that has small enrollment, they are home schooled Christians. Their students do internships with Karl Rove, FBI and CIA. Scary stuff. These people are fascists. Check out this article in the New Yorker:

One thing they mentioned was the whole
"War on Christianity" bullshit. I thought we should start our own countering "War on Reality" or "War on Science" campaign.

There is definitely a War On Reality going on these days.

It was amazing the amount of organizations and methods of infiltration they have going that were included in this book. Stuff I had no clue about. They are not as marginalized as I thought, or hoped at least.

14. "When fascism comes to America.......
it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross." - Sinclair Lewis

The only thing he missed was the corporate connection.
What we have is Theo-corporate fascism.
