Oh I See... It's Just A Data Base IN CASE They Need To Use It!!
This is the way they're going to PLAY it!! Oh, we're NOT going to spy on anyone, we're just going to build this HUGE Data Base in case somebody's name might come up! It's only then that we'll use the Data Base for reference or information, Uh, to catch the "bad guys!!"

Oh well, ANOTHER piece of America down the drain! They've had their little talk and they've decided they have it covered!

STOP, I want OFF! We Are NEVER Going To Be Able To Break Through This RED ARMY!!

1. Yea, but you understand the lawyers at DOJ don't have a high
enough security coearance to know the REAL REASONS!

These guys are spinning so fast now, I'm expecting, any minute now, that they'll all get dizzy and fall down!

4. Does Anything Matter Anymore??
I really mean it. I've worked my heart out, writing letters, emailing Congress, calling people, signing petitions, talking to everyone I know, going to meeting after meeting, going to marches and working at places to make some changes.

AND, I'm still sitting here... batting ZERO! Shame on America, SHAME!

7. yeah, me too.
And just as it seems like something good might be happening, we learn that it was all for naught.

What is worse, I wonder seriously whether we will have an election in november. If this man can so cravenly lie to us so often about things so important, what makes you think that he supports the constitutional mandates for elections?
He ignores the courts.
He rewrites passed legislation erasing the impact over him.
He lied about torture.
He lied about WMD.
He lied about Al Qaida and Iraq
He is lying about Iran.
He lied about the run up to 9/11
He lied about Social Security
He lied about Medicare, Part D and threatened to fire accountants who were going to tell the truth.
He lied about domestic surveillance. Not once. Not twice. Not three times.
He lied about so many things that if you take his words, parse them and turn them around 180 degrees, you will be much closer to the truth.

Again, what is to stop his power grab from continuing around November?

9. Well, what would be worse, is if we have the theater and trappings of an
election, without the actual votes, or vote counting. If you know what I mean.

13. I Think We Played That Game Already...
But then again, memory for some people simply fails when it wants to!

Don't know what they're saying on CNN or MSNBC, but I'm sure they're hyping The Idiot's line for all it's worth! Maybe I should just go to sleep and let someone wake me up later. I'm sure it would cut down on a massive amount of stress!

Before long, pharmaceutical companies are going to be as happy as the oil companies. We're ALL going to be in serious need of tranquilizers!! Not that they are doing so badly these days!

I just bet if we played a connect the dots game it might well turn out this way! All roads lead to ROBBER BARONs or something like that!

5. Just heard on CNN that the government gave money to the phone
companies for the privilege of tapping our lines. I would love to heard what the going rate is for undermining the Constitution and our democracy.

Betcha a dime to a donut Verizon, Bell South, etc. are headed up by reichwingers who put profit over civil liberties any day. We know what they all are, I would just like to know the going rate is for screwing the citizens.

Also, it was implied that if the phone companies didn't comply there was a chance they would miss out on government contracts. Add blackmail to the list of crimes.

6. Just trust us
Of course there are a lot of safeguards by highly trusted government officials that all these phone calls by Democratic party members and congressman would never ever, pinkie swear I hope to die, ever ever be accessed improperly.

But if they did, oops, that would have to be a mysterious glitch but no harm would be done.

Sounds like standard fare. I guess voting on mystery machines out of blind trust in GOP companies and faceless mechanics and other such bells and whistles is just as trustworthy. Everyone knows all people in high places merit absolute, godlike and beyond, trust and that throughout history, good decent, naive, people never ever ever have had anything to fear at all.

And if something happens to you, the object of these faithful servants' intentions, it is your fault one way or the other- or another.

14. Great Analogy!
Remember that song... "How Long Has This Been Going On?" It just keeps running through my head. We can run BUT WE CAN'T HIDE!!

Our only solution is to run back at them, and CARRY A HUGE STICK! I've been talking about this for quite some time, maybe just because it would get their attention. But now, I think it's almost to the point where we aren't going to have a choice here!

Marching to TAKE BACK AMERICA!

11. Oh, you can bet they've used it. Many times over.
I'll bet that's part of the reasons they haven't gotten much opposition from our squeaky clean legislators these several years. Those people don't legislate in that manner because they all believe that crap!

Optimism just flew out the window, eh??

It's HIGH TIME, it's PAST TIME... we just can't keep doing NOTHING! It's what they're counting on! We don't have what it takes to go up against them because we can't even get OUR leaders to help us out!

It's up to us, folks or we are FUCKED!

19. the Dem. leaders are scared. Or clueless. Why is that?
what do they know that makes them so scared? or is it simply the fact that they are idiots and are afraid of taking a stance which might be seen by the religious right as weak on terra?

Then again, look back at John Kerry's campaign. I like the guy. I supported him with votes, money, calls and letters. His campaign sucked. It was as though he WANTED to lose.
Donna Brazille was the worst possible person to run that campaign, and her performances on Cable since then prove that painful point over and over. Yes, she is smart, yes she is knowledgable. Yes, she is a successful woman of color, BUT, she had no clue how to deal with Swifties and Rovian attacks. Not one clue.

And today, a few Dems are showing spines, but not all. Did you see the votes on the tax cuts? Why no Senate spine? Why no philly buster?
1% of the population gets a gift of $42,150. 80% of the population gets "$30".
