The undifferentiated and uninformed anger I sometimes see here makes me sad and tiired, because people go off without reading things or understanding what's going on, and they go straight into the "impeachment" nonsense or "war crimes" stuff, when, in fact, our country is currently overwhelmed by horrors that need immediate redress, and none of that will come from angry people who think a keyboard is a weapon.

I've always believed, and this has been my ongoing mantra on DU for a while, that bodies in the street are where the differences begin, and that translates - we're talking metaphor here, folks - to handwritten letters to Congressmen and Senators and local reps and state senators and house members - and taking an active and real role in the matters of government.

It begins at the grassroots level, and goes up from there. Spewing anger at Fuckface is a wonderful catharsis, but it accomplishes nothing except for that momentary relief.

I wish people would just get up and get out and do things that really matter.

That said, DU is a wonderful place.
