Find a good web source ... factual ... print press if possible ... and print it out for her. Then take it to school and ask the Principal to see that the teacher gets the info and is fully educated on the subject before she attempts to teach it.

I am a former school committee chairman, and no one is more supportive of teachers than I am ... but, I wouldn't tolerate that in one of my kids classes and they all know it. There is no excuse for that type of ignorance to continue because they missed learning it and can't teach what they don't know.

Honestly, I lived through that period but I didn't recall his name and I never saw Stone's movie.

My life changed that day ... and I will never forget that feeling. Makes me crazy to think about what they would have been and done ... both he and his brother.
