They are missing the point entirely…………. |
|
......Please don’t judge my comments until the end because this is a bit of a  and I will get to my real point as I go on.
Jay Ambrose, Syndicated Columnist, from Denver, Colorado, appeared on C-Span talking about the wiretapping issues people are so upset about. In all fairness the guy did admit his comments were based on media coverage so far on the issue and that if he were going to write about the issue he’d do about six hours of research before writing an article. So, I will give the guy credit for admitting up front that his knowledge was limited.
I will also give Mr. Ambrose credit for saying, during his lengthy remarks that “People are confusing the potential for abuse with the abuse itself”. He also went on to say that the IRS has much more personal and tracking information than the NSA or anyone else.
Now, having given the guy credit for this much I’ve still got some real problems with his comments. After 6 years of living through the constant hell of this administration’s efforts for a dictatorship and the ongoing battle against my civil liberties I am NOT so stupid as to take just this one issue and say, ok the WH Idiot is simply tracking phone numbers because of “the war on terror”. Anyone with half a brain knows by now that when this administration claims they are doing one small thing they are actually doing that and ten more things they refuse to tell us about. So, when Mr. Ambrose claims the Idiot boy’s administration is simply following the FISA laws of 1978 (I think it was) and nothing more, he is obviously very biased toward supporting anything this administration does. That worries me to no end.
The bottom line here is, “Give them an inch and they will take a mile.”:grr: That is exactly what the Idiot boy’s administration has done and continues to do every single day. That is also why I think there has to be very definite guidelines to what our government is and is not allowed to do concerning spying on the average citizen.
Let’s face it folks, there are language experts in the FBI, CIA, NSA, etc., that know what words mean what. So setting up a database to pick up certain words in order to find out who is a threat and who isn’t shouldn’t be a problem. The idea of tracking all phone numbers is merely another effort to wipe away any remaining idea of a “free society”. I’m just completely fed up with neocons/fundies using this fake “war on terror” and the fact that we “haven’t suffered another terrorist attack since Sept 11” as Mr. Ambrose did, to justify anything and everything this WH Idiot feels like doing.
At this rate there won't be anything left for a Democrat/Liberal administration to straighten out.:banghead: Every civil liberty and Constitutional right we ever had could be forever gone by 08 if Idiot boy gets his way and if the neocons/fundies have their way.:spank:
OK, thoughts anyone????

1. If they don't need a warrant for this |

then they don't need a warrant for ANYTHING. It's not a slippery slope.. it's a cliff that drops into right the chasm of a fascist police state.
This demands action
