5. isn't it strange how quiet the news is today about this?? |
|
Edited on Fri May-12-06 09:31 AM by geekgrrl
For weeks they have been discussing possible Rove indictments on Chris Matthews (I know, I hate him but have it on in the background sometimes) and on Countdown w/ KO, and now there is NOTHING. Silence. If Rove wasn't being indicted today, I would think the news would be singing this from the rooftops. Why are they so quiet? Is this the case of a Friday afternoon bombshell they will want to sweep under the rug quickly??

7. My guess, a lot can turn on the strength of the indictment |
|
You get a detailed indictment, with lots of other folks named as well (like "Representative #2" or "Vice-President #1"), describing all their actions, and the target knows exactly how things will play out and how little wiggle room he actually possesses. Then, the theory goes, the target becomes much more motivated to make a deal.
