This is Satire
I dont' know how many of you are aware of Ann Coulter's latest column. In it she calls Liberals "Dangerous Psychotics," suggests beating up a student at Yale State (who formally spoke for the Taliban), and ends with these lines. "The violence and threats of imprisonment have started. Now the only question is whether conservatives will choose victory." Linke to the article --> http://www.townhall.com/opinion/columns/anncoulter/2006/05/10/196973.html

Many of you mind find this a bit crazy or even disturbing. If you confront your liberal friends with these kinds of statments they will generally disavow Ann ("Nobody taks her seriously") or defend her on the grounds of Satire. One of the responses to this article at Townhall ends with this "In short, I thank Jesus for sarcasm and wits like yours in defense of the United States of America." So see, when Ann Coulter calls us Dangerous Psychotics, it's satire. When she suggests beating us up? Satire.

So here's some satire. This is only satire and shouldn't be taken as anything but satire.

I think Liberals should beat up, pound up, punch in the face, knee in the groin, key the cars of, egg the houses of, send virus emails to, ridicule publically, step on the foots of, imprison, feed bad clams to, set on fire, graffitti tag the houses of, graffitti tag the cars of, sneak up behind them and yell boo right in the ears of, die the hair green of, and elbow the face of our good friends the conservatives.

Again, the above was simply satire, intended to make you laugh and think a little. See it's funny. It's funny, cause it's . . . oh wait, almost gave the game away. Remember this is Satire. Don't take it seriously (at least don't take it seriously if you find it offensive).

1. If it's really satire, then she's actually a liberal, right?
Because satire intends the opposite of what it says. Swift didn't really want to eat babies; he was actually advocating FOR the poor.

As quoted from Wikipedia: "Satire is a mode of challenging accepted notions by making them seem ridiculous."

So -- she's challenging the notion that liberals are evil by making the whole anti-liberal thing seem ridiculous. I get it now!

2. That's the old fashioned use of the word Satire
In the modern parlance, Satire means "Something Hateful, Racist or Bigoted that the speaker does not wish to take any flack for."

I forgot to mention kicking Conservatives. But of course this is, as mentioned before, Satire.
