Have any of you contacted Verizon, Bell or AT&T? |
I plan on canceling my Verizon service on Monday. I'm doing a bit of research and getting my speech ready, for the Verizon schlep who answers the phone. I also plan on writing a letter and sending an email, letting them know that they lose my business because of their abysmal invasion of my privacy.
I was wondering if anyone else contacted any of the "snitches", and if you also canceled service.

1. There are several posts regarding Verizon. They apparently |
have a script for callers and a canned e-mail response. I posted the latter just a minute ago.

2. Called both MCI & Cingular |
MCI (home phone) told me that they wern't contacted and will not release numbers or info to any third party. Cingular- the first person I spoke with had no idea. The supervisor seemed to understand my concern but had a prepapared canned answer. When I asked if Cingular was connected in any way to AT&T and SBC she said yes but still would not confirm or deny anything. I can't switch from Cingular until March '07 unless I pay a $150 penalty.
