Where is this from? Italy?
quote.......
Starting over when Bush is gone

Big Brother Bush has finally descended into the hell of public scorn and degradation. The once-mighty George 2, the "War President", who towered over the global landscape after 9-11, has slumped into disrepute with the popularity-meter resting on empty.

Oh dear.

There’s no place to hide now. 6 years of demagoguery and deception have smashed the Orwellian façade and fueled the public rage. The country is on tender-hooks; one paltry incident away from a citizen revolt and massive political upheaval.

end quote.......

1. I read it earlier, I like this part
"Will he finally crack and bolt himself inside the Capital bell-tower; grimacing and spitting at the passers by? Or will he simply wear a path in the Oval Office rug pacing back and forth like a caged hyena?"

2. Wear damage ... to Ruggie?
I think he would opt for the tower before he would dishonor ruggie in such a way.

3. Read my post here. Grain of salt folks. Jason Leopold seems to
be the only person in the world who has been leaked to by sources in the WH. That alone should ring alarm bells (seeing as how he is no friend of the admin). Now this "hillarious" post outside the country?

12. There are many scandals beyond Leopold's latest, and the polls
to which this author refers have nothing to with Leopold. In the latest WSJ/Harris Poll, Bush is at 29%, but that's BEFORE the following hit:

(1) Cheney's handwritten notes which kicked off the Traitorgate (Plame Wilson) plot:
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.ph...

(2) Karl Rove was just indicted:
http://www.truthout.org/docs_2006/051306W.shtml

(3) Watergate II (Sloppy Seconds Edition) - Foggo and Goss in deep doo-doo:

http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=10000087&sid=ag5...

(4) The NSA has been keeping the phone call records on tens of millions of Americans (all customers of most major phone companies.):
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/12779087/site/newsweek /

(5) An NSA whistleblower is reporting that they have been domestically spying on us with space imagery:

These last two are IN ADDITION to the unwarranted domestic wiretapping previously reported.

5. Clever writing.
Wish it was as simple as sweeping the whole crumpled mess into a dust pan and starting over. Too many broken hearts and bodies strewn around that just won't fit into that pan.

7. Too funny
>>>snip
Bush’s popularity is now somewhere below Nixon’s and just above venereal disease; the perfect spot for a draft-dodging poseur whose bravado cost the lives of hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqis.

8. Bush’s popularity is now just ABOVE venereal disease?!?!
This guy is off his rocker!!

I am happy to report to a few-tens-of-thousands of my closest friends (reading this thread) that I've never had venereal disease - but I WOULD MUCH RATHER HAVE VD than GWB.

Many types of VD can be cured with a little bottle of pills and, even if it were warts - which one has to monitor for the rest of one's life and which can put a damper on sexual spontaneity - I'd STILL rather have VD.

GWB's devastation will require decades of work to overcome...

:grr:

9. One paltry incident away from a citizen revolt....
I certainly hope not. If we revolt, that means our Constitution couldn't stand up to a Dictator. Either we live by the rule of law or we are slaves to the rule of might. Trading a Republican Dictator for a Democrat Dictator is definitely not what we have in mind. I hope our friends in other countries aren't expecting violence or upheaval. Bush will fall by his own deception and he and his cronies will pay for their sins but we will not play the game his way. Fighting and death are the way of the Neocons and the weak-minded frightened Republicans who follow them. That's not us, we have the courage to withstand such slings and arrows and fight back with weapons infinitely stronger.

"The hair of his head was as white as white wool or as snow, and his eyes were like a fiery flame.
His feet were like polished brass refined in a furnace, and his voice was like the sound of rushing water. In his right hand he held seven stars. A sharp two-edged sword came out of his mouth, and his face shone like the sun at its brightest."
Revelations

This is who we are. Seekers of wisdom, blessed with the passion of truth. We've been hardened by tribulation and tempered by the trials of our time. Our sword comes from our mouths and slices through lies. Truth is our weapon and against it no evil can stand. The pen truly is mightier than the sword and we will use it to end this tyranny. It just takes time, let's hope our friends have patience and trust that we know what we're doing.

15. Civil disobedience is not revolt...
Edited on Sun May-14-06 01:12 PM by mikelewis
It's getting slapped in the face and offering the other cheek without fear so the world can see the inhumanity of violence.

I do agree that we need some sort of demonstration that serves as a rallying cry, something like a group of drunken "indians" breaking into a local Board of Education and throwing the voting machines into Lake Erie. That would be civil disobedience that America could sink its teeth into, that's for sure. However, spending 10 years in a federal pen for breaking and entering would definitely suck.

14. This paragraph is an amazing description of....
the phoney George Bush persona:

"Rove is the one indispensable star in the Bush firmament. It’s Rove who stitched together the Bush persona; carefully blending religious zeal with Reagan’s rustic chumminess. Rove is the force behind our Betsy-McCall president. He’s the guy who dresses him up to lark about in military jumpsuit or to play a working class hero in flannel shirt and chainsaw. It’s Rove who perfected the pallid-faced hologram that appears whenever one turns on the TV. He chiseled Bush out of wormwood producing a character that looks to have the full range of human emotions with the exception of compassion. Without Rove, junior would still be snoozing peacefully on a barstool in Abilene rather than raining down hellfire on peaceful Muslim countries."
