The "war" in Iraq is not THE reason...
It's one of MANY reasons.

Why can't the media just report and let us decide.

Yes, the main factor for many not approving of Bush might be the war, but for many of us that's just one of many.

1. It is the continuing lies, deceits, taking away of legal rights.

2. Thy are trying like hell to frame it/contain it. Build a box around it.
They do that & then try to convince/shit the public that Iraq is really not that bad and we need to support jr.

3. It's the #1 reason for me
I agree there are 100s of reasons to disapprove of *, but the War -- I can't even put into words how it makes me feel. It will dominate our history years from now, and it is destroying us in so many ways.

Yes, there are other reasons, but for me, anyway, I am reminded daily of what a failure of a presidency * has every time I open the newspaper.

4. The old tried but true
is the infuriating use of one negative to hide all th others and thus reduce even the most salient negative in the illogical process. There is a kernel of truth in the fact that the public SEEMS not to have gone as negative on the other issues though that is simply because of another deceptive element of media ranking. That is if they care MOST about the war on terror, for example, that means your concerns about everything else under the sun do not matter. Sometimes not matter at all.

We have seen this kind of ruse when campaign financing or something else comes up. "people aren't as concerned". Well, you know that is headed for a brushoff of something the vast majority WANT. Simply moving terror and war to the head of the list allows everything else to be disappeared and discounted completely- unless needed later as now. "But Bush is still likable". Would we would hear that about something that matters.

It also means the media public is still counted vulnerable to being trumped by a national crisis or terror attack or new war de facto. All you will need is to be behind the troops and primarily bothered by recent terror and you will have everything taken from you up to and including your life.
