Situation: You're Karl Rove, you're about to be indicted - What do you do? |
|
You cut a deal for immunity.
No, I have no facts here, but...
Think about it.

4. It certainly is one explanation for the delay in an indictment... |
|
...and a likelihood, regardless. It'd be funny if both the pro- and anti-Leopold people are right.

11. That‘s right. He wont co-operate at all. |
|
They all know that once they do spill the beans, it’s over as far as any power and money. Anyway, they all know they’ll be pardoned so what’s in it for them. It isn’t like they have any ethics ya know.

14. I'm not convinced he'll get a pardon. |
|
A pardon would be very very bad politically for the Repubs.

9. He'd have to agree to sell out Bush or Cheney. I think it's more likely... |
|
...that he's been guaranteed a pardon for keeping his mouth shut.

You take whatever money is in your Swiss bank account, change your hairstyle, forge a passport, take a plane out of YYZ, and spend the rest of your days on a Costa Rica beach soaking up the sun while the Gulf waves wash over your toes and you take another sip of that margarita in your hand.

about EVERYTHING or they can throw him in the slammer and throw away the key if they ever find out he lied. And you know the very wide purview given to Starr, well what's good for Starr is good for Fitz. We may even find out who really won in 2000. Not that we don't really know already.
Okay, so I'm dreaming.

18. You stall the proceedings until AFTER November |
|
Then, you cop a plea, admit nothing, provide no details, and the Monkey issues you a pardon.
You gotta figure that's the plan. No way Monkey can let that weasel talk. He's the Cap Weinberger of this era.

DISNEYWORLD, silly.
Sheeesh.
Everyone knows that.
So, Rove's going to be indicted?
And you can cut deals for immunity before you're indicted?
And, and, and, oh, tell me more.
When will this indictment be handed down?
And for what will he be charged?
I'm so excited! We're going to DISNEYWORLD!

Spread rumors about your awaited indictment and have your boy give a talk on immigration, and in the meantime send the USS Lincoln and the USS Enterprise to Iran while no one is looking.

I would want to know what I was charged with and what evidence they had before I started selling out everyone I knew.
