And I don't even think they are in the Bush Cabinet.

Did elderly women kill homeless men?
Two held on fraud charges after they got $2.4 million in life insurance

Helen Golay, 75, and Olga Rutterschmidt, 72, were arrested Thursday for investigation of insurance fraud. They allegedly paid for the men to stay in apartments for as long as two years, police said. In exchange, police say, they obtained the victims’ signatures and opened more than a dozen life insurance policies that named the women as beneficiaries.

In the November 1999 and June 2005 hit-and-runs, both victims were struck in alleys in the early morning hours and no witnesses were found, police said. In both cases, Golay and Rutterschmidt came forward claiming to be relatives or fiancees of the men.

Police traffic investigators discovered the alleged scam when they were looking into a fatal hit-and-run accident last fall. One investigator mentioned the case of two women who had taken out large life insurance policies on 50-year-old Kenneth McDavid when another recalled working on a similar case in 1999, in which 73-year-old Paul Vados was killed.

When they compared notes, they found the beneficiaries in both cases were Golay and Rutterschmidt, and the victims were homeless men, police said. Investigators say the women filed $3.8 million in claims, and around $2.4 million was paid out before authorities contacted the insurance companies.

1. They got greedy, really greedy. I'm not saying they weren't greedy slugs
to begin with, they were. But they just did not know when to quit.

I hope that they're punished severely for what they did. They picked on the lost and alone. The homeless.

Do you agree with what I said? It's pretty apparent, isn't it? These old crones need their asses kicked.

5. The old bats
need to be made homless and let me take out some insurance on them. I wouldn't even have to murder their sorry asses. They wouldn't last a week.

2. They got greedy...
That's the mistake they always make. Well, that, the multiple murders, and the fraud. Wouldn't that make these pieces of shit serial killers? Similar victims and all?

6. I would think so. But not in the normal sense. They know their victims,
it wasn't a random thing. And it was based on greed. The stereotypical serial killer is like Albert Fish, Jeffrey Dahmer, Ted Bundy.

John Wayne Gacy knew his victims too. But it was a pscho-sexual thing.

7. In a way it makes them worse.
If you know someone, it takes a special kind of evil to be able to kill them. No that stranger killing would be possible for a "normal" person either.

8. Hate to be a tattletale
But many men have carried life insurance on ex wives and collected millions even after the woman had remarried before death. It's is a funny little clause in the insurance program that says the spouse or ex (considered male at the origin) might be responsible for mateys debts, burial, children, or whatever.
It might work for an ex wife today who was married for 10 years or more but very few even know that they might be eligible for a portion of ex's life insurance, and more certain if it were purchased before a divorce.
