Congratulations Bennet Kelley! DU author is finalist in Journalism Awards

I just found out that Bennet Kelley is a finalist in the Los Angeles Press Club's Southern California Journalism Awards, to be presented on June 24 at the Millennium Biltmore.

Bennet is one of three finalists in the "Online Column/Commentary/Criticism" category for four articles published on Democratic Underground in 2005. The articles are:

Right-Wing Fantasies and Iraq (January 2005)
Faith-Based Deja Vu (March 2005)
Cindy Sheehan and the Silent Majority (August 2005)
The Republicans' Gathering Storm (November 2005)

following my policy of not recommending any admin posts?

I wanted to recommend this post along with Liberty's but secretly I don't like to recommend posts that I know will have an automatic following because they're admin posts. It peeves me that I can't put the admin posts on ignore and it doesn't have anything to do with the quality or context of the posts, but, because, I like to 'freeze frame" the spam issues in my mind and go back to them in a few months to examine how the issue might have expanded or fit into the larger scheme of things. It's something I do to help me understand something better rather than having my insight scripted.

Well, that's kind of a stupid explanation for not recommending. I commend and recognize your effort, Bennet!
