Has Helen Thomas been sitting in the back?
On "Countdown," they had a clip of her giving Tony Snow an apple, and she was sitting in the front row. Were they seating her a few rows back under Fleischer & McClellan? I know they hadn't been calling on her much, so it might just seem like she wasn't in the front.

Just wondering.

1. I think she has the front row seat at the press briefings but not
during any of the President's press conferences.

2. Yup, the emperorer doesn't want her in earshot. But she's been in the fron
t row at the regular press briefings. That's where she belongs by tradition for being the senior correspondent.

3. I laughed when she gave him the apple. How symbolic.
