Jay Rockefeller, Carl Levin, Dianne Feinstein, Barbara Mikulski
were the four "Democrats" who voted for General Hayden to become the head of the Central Intelligence Agency.

Can someone explain how they could vote against the interests, privacy and safety of Americans?

You think her hubby isn't gonna want a piece of the action when Hayden starts a new surveillance program?

It IS time for a change for California. This progressive state deserves better than DiFi!

12. I'm so pissed at Feinstein
I've voted for her in the past for the whole "keep the seat safe" crap.

no more

There is NO WAY I'll vote for that POS even if it does mean losing the seat.
I'd rather lose the seat than lose my soul

10. I am ashamed of them!
I am proud to be a Democrat and I believe completely in the ideals of our party, but I am as ashamed of many of our leaders as I am angry at the opposition party.

I just can't understand their vote. I wish someone could explain it to me.

18. He does have some good points (I'm from Pittsburgh, too)
  • He's from Pittsburgh, PA. (Like me and Teresa Heinz Kerry and Dannie Marino, and like Rick Santorum - but we'll forget about Rickie)
  • He went to Duquesne Univ. (I started my MBA there)
  • He's a Steelers fan (That overcomes all of the bad things about him)
  • Rumor in Pittsburgh - he's related to the Rooneys (The own the Steelers)
  • His father was a USW member, working man, worked in the steel mill.

Life don't get no better - drawn an Iron City, get some Arsenal Kolbassi and some Isaly's "Chipped Chpped" and a Klondike Bar.

19. I really, really, REALLY wish Cindy Sheehan ran against Feinstein now
I know there's a lot of valid arguments against Cindy challenging DiFi for her Senate seat, but Feinstein has gotten way too comfortable and smug in her position. Dianne does have a primary challenger, but I don't think she can muster the momentum fast enough to make Dianne start shaking in her panties.

Feinstein, you're on notice. Don't make me move you back into the "Dead To Me" column - Joe Lieberman is already there, and I've got plenty of room left.

24. We've got Barbara Ann Radnofsky challenging KBH this year
Edited on Wed May-24-06 08:23 AM by derby378
But I'm afraid we're stuck with John Cornyn until 2008.

Radnofsky looks like a good, solid candidate. Hutchison's reportedly afraid to debate her.

On edit: Why are you bringing up Mountjoy? He's not a Democrat, either. DiFi has a primary challenger with a D next to her name.

25. Mountjoy
Because while CA is a blue state - and the SF and LA areas are Bluer then Blue - there is no Dem lock --- remember Rich Pombo's includes the outer suburbs of San Francisco -- and he is as GOP as they come.

And, we gave the US Ronald Reagan and Trickie Dickie Nixon.

And Republicans have been elected in the SF suburbs - Tom Campbell (and Steve Poizner came very close).

This actually is a two party state.

and the fourth trusts Dianne.

They'll be left out of the loop if they vote against him. We need new members on the Intelligence Committee, methinks?

26. I'm surprised you didn't expect this of my Senator Feinstein
After she and then-FBI Director Louis Freeh floated a bill that would have outlawed use of strong encryption on any message sent over the Internet, unless the sender provided the federal government with a "back door" to decrypt the message.

DiFi has been consistently on the side of expanded police powers. That's one of the reasons I have opposed her for several years.
