Cleveland Submits Bid To Host 2008 GOP Convention

"Cleveland city leaders have submitted a bid to host the 2008 Republican National Convention.
The city is competing against New York City, Minneapolis-St. Paul and Tampa-St. Petersburg for the convention.

If Cleveland makes the first cut, Republican officials will visit the city in August.

What is up with the GOP wanting to come to heavily blue areas for their boring talking point-fests that look like their still championing Zombie Reagan? 6. I don't think Cleveland has the facilities for it...

I'm originally from Cleveland btw. Anyways, the convention center is still worthless. While the Q could hold the convention itself, I also don't think there's enough hotel space in the city. Not to mention security. New York could shove a couple thousand cops into the fray, Cleveland doesn't have that luxury.

I doubt that would even be enough.
