The national media should be asking is President Bush drinking again. We should all be asking.

Questions about whether Bush did or did not take a physical 30 years ago or used cocaine when his dad was president don't matter to most people, but if he is drinking and getting drunk regularly, we all have a right to be very worried.

There is a lot to make one suspicious. Are his facial injuries in the last year really due to mountain bike accidents or to getting falling down drunk? Do we have an alcoholic making life and death decisions in the war on terror? Is it Texas swagger or drunken stagger?

In addition to the facial injuries, there's the incident when he was found passed out on the floor at the White House because he has "choked on a pretzel." There is the slurring of words and his confusion over simple concepts such as tribal sovereignty. How about falling off the scooter or dropping the little dog? Is he a klutz and an idiot, or just drunk?

Someone has to know, has to have seen him. I've seen the photo of him with a beer at the G-8 summit. Why can't some reporter ask Chirac or Gerhard Schroeder, or members of their staffs? At least Carl Rove can't threaten their jobs. I've seen the wedding video. There must be more proof out there if some reporter would just look for it, or at least start asking the question publically.

Bush's drinking is an "open secret" in Washington, yet Newsweek runs a profile highlighting his alleged sobriety as a demonstration of his will and determination.

All those weeks and weeks spent in Crawford away from the press and public eye on a regular basis. Why? Especially with a war going on.

1. In a word, "yes"...
there was some speculation on DU recently that the splotchiness on his skin of late is due to certain drugs that are taken to combat alcohol abuse.

2. I'm more concerned with his recent "Cocaine Crotch" episode...
when the drug dog lunged for his crotch in Arizona.

I have it on the best authority that cocaine users who don't
wash their hands thoroughly before urinating often
trigger drug dogs' reactions.

4. Yep, probably does that too.
See my post below for more of my opinion on this clown. BTW--I have held this opinion since 1999--the dumb shit has NEVER said or done one thing to make me think differently.

3. Oh hell. He never quit. The guys a drunk, pure and simple
I can't believe so many people are either fascinated with this, or in denial--

He's your typical drunken, stupid assed, Republican neighbor in a big fat rich Texas neighborhood who has a spaced out xanaxed wife, couple 'o kids, couple 'o doggies, a four wheel drive pickemup, and one HELL of a barbeque grill.

This guy isn't a mystery.

9. According to the tabs, (Globe, N. Inquirer) apparently so...
Several DUers have reported on some cover stories the past several months involving marital problems with pickles which supposedly involves his alcohol use....Even if it is a tabloid story, other factors do support.

I do not find that hard to believe...

In addition to the facial injuries, there's the incident when he was found passed out on the floor at the White House because he has "choked on a pretzel."

I must have been sleeping. I didnt know that.

Whether Bush is drinking or not, one thing is certain. He was an alky and never recovered. Praying to god doesnt help you get through 12 steps.
