Or Hastert or Frist or Ney or Rove? This isn't to say that Jefferson isn't guilty and should be punished, but why is it that the FBI cherry picks who they throw these resources toward. The guy was going down anyway. Am I being too partisan?

1. I do not believe you are being too partisan.
You are calling a spade a spade! What good for one should be good for all.

Its a matter of priorities - who would you choose to use as the first time the FBI EVER, EVER executed a search warrant in the Capitol? A nice, white suburban type like DeLAy, who founded & pushed the K Street Project to streamline lobbyist graft, or a BLACK, DEMOCRATIC Dangerous Criminal like William Jefferson (who even shared TWO names with that bj-receiver Clinton!)?

5. I raised the question about Duke Cunningham
Both Cunningham and Jefferson are involved with bribery charges, but only one congressional office searched? I see something that I really don't like here....

6. They are the one's being partisan!
What Jefferson is accused of doing is nothing compared to what Delay did. The FBI is now purely a political police force and I think your point is valid.

7. Very simple, really
They do it, because 'they' know that when a democrat is in the hot seat, they will get the support of both partys to see that justice is done. IF a republican is in the hot seat, you will only get the support of half the people. The Republicans will protect/defend/excuse that person 100%.

Democats are more then willing ot eat their own, before the evidence is out. Just by gossip alone.

Look at Clinton and the S&L mess. Why was Clinton more or less the only politician to be put on full coals over the S & L mess? Because the PEOPLE felt that the government was FINALY going to do something against ALL those theives. People were so excited that SOMETHING was going to be done. So excited, they they failed to notice that only Clinton was being burned over the coals.

THey also failed to notice that HYDE got to chair the committee. Kinda a major joke there. Considering how much he made over the S & L mess....

When Republicans are 'caught', they don't eat their own. To much money has been spunt on that dog race and they want to keep their dog in the race as long as possible.
