After WW2, society treated its members decently for ~40 years or so...
(all things considered, we still had/have segregation and many biases...)

So, after WW3 will society remember that people are valuable again?

2. Oh dear..
..I hope it doesn't have to come to that.

But I've been thinking a bit along the same lines lately.

I've been wondering whether GI's from WWII got a good deal
for the reasons that: they were mostly white, and it was a
relatively righteous war and people were just so grateful.

But it was their kids that changed society for the better,
in the sixties, for a while.

But their kids and grandkids have had it so good that they
just don't have the fire and the fight in them, and this is
what's needed nowadays.

3. People are valuable?
I forgot. That's what watching the world news will do to you, make you forget that people have value.

5. Depends who wins.
If the fascists won WW2, things would have been a lot different.

6. And then, a nationwide epidemic of narcissism infected the
Country. Why, I don't know. Current Republicanism and the views of the Religious right are based on a philosophy of self serving egotism. "I'm gonna take what's mine and if you are in my group, then you deserve to be poor, sick, old and miserable." Jesus has been kidnapped.
