Palast: "It's Baker, not Rove"
Edited on Wed May-24-06 04:36 PM by Bluebear
....The cool thing about the crime is that I’m telling you things you don’t get in the press. You also have to connect the dots here. For example, they’re not going to stop people from coming over the border in Texas. God forbid; there’d be no Texas economy if you spackled up the holes in the border, right? That’s not the game. The game is to knock out the Hispanic vote, especially the poor Hispanic vote; create a drumbeat for national ID cards and ID when you vote. Three hundred thousand people nationwide last time lost their vote because they showed up with the so-called wrong ID.

First of all, the Mr. Big in this administration who does come up with most of the evil plans isn’t Karl Rove. Karl Rove is just a soft-handed little schmuck. There are much bigger Texans than that. Jim Baker is behind this stuff. I really should write a book called “Jim Baker Knows Where You Live.” Baker is very much behind so-called “election reform.” And you can’t separate his push for so-called election reform — which means taking away brown people’s votes and black people’s votes, and he represented the Republican Party in Bush v. Gore — he’s pushing for the ID requirement big-time.

5. The same "PNAC needs a New Pearl Harbor" Baker?
The advance of PNAC will likely be a slow one absent some "catastrophic and catalyzing" event like a New Pearl Harbor. Coincidentally, 4 months later America (Neocon-PNAC-ers) got that New Pearl Harbor.
Baker-Poppy Bush- Cheney- and Rumsey are all career government men who swore,"one day we'll control this Whitehouse" well that day came on Dec.7th 2000/Jan 20 2001...
A ruthless organized CRIME FAMILY now rules the country.. But how to stop them? H'm...
Any suggestions besides,"we'll get them in November" personally I believe there will be "NO ELECTION" this November because there is too much to lose..

11. "It's not fair!"
With the nastiest nasal whang you can imagine... this is what I remember about Mr. Baker from Selection 2000. Every time he got up to the podium to speak out for Boosh he would repeat over and over, "It's not fair." What a nasty, whiny, twangy, fingernails on chalkboard bleat that was too! :grr::puke:

Well, you were at least correct, Mr. Baker... it was NOT at all fair! You sorry pack of jackals! :argh:

12. Jim Baker is the man behind the curtain.
He's been running their whole F'ing show at least since the election theft of '88. He was also the architect of the "Let's put Bush Jr. in there as President so he can oust Saddam and clean up our record".

15. Carlyle must be made to exist and haul it in for James and partners and
the barons they also work for. I think we are going to get bird flue martial law in October and it will be announced that it is too dangerous to vote and anyone moving around after dark will be shot.

That's the kind of creatures we are dealing with.

But, I must point out something - what Palast is writing about Baker being somewhat of the prime architect goes against a lot of what has been shared on DU for years - that Poppy and James are alarmed at the wildly bold and damaging PNAC and are unhappy with Dick and George for PNAC policies (or something like that).

19. Whaaa? When have illegal aliens ever had the right to vote?
You're concerned because they're going to net legal citizens into this big net that they're going to cast for the illegal ones? So that means we should leave the illegal aliens alone so we don't play along into their nefarious plan?

I say, nice try. Ignoring two crimes won't resolve the problems.

20. Well, no, I am not concerned I guess...
the point that the author makes is Rove is not the big bad genius that he is made out to be and that Baker is the real orchestrator.

but I couldn't tell you at this point if Baker is covering for someone or something much bigger and badder than he.
