Americans should be frightened by the incompetence
Edited on Wed May-24-06 05:34 PM by Onlooker
Has there ever been an administration as incompetent as this one? It seems that under Bush's watch, there have been a huge number of blunders:

- Ignoring intelligence that might have prevented 9/11
- Using inaccurate intelligence to start a war that's killed 2,500 Americans
- Putting an unqualified crony in charge of FEMA, which resulted in death and destruction
- Appointing Goss to head the CIA who by most accounts did a terrible job
- Engaging in illegal spying on Americans
- Allowing a gas crisis to exist while the oil companies make record profits
- Creating a rogue FBI that has alienated both Republican and Democratic congresspeople
- Allowing someone to download personal info about 26.5 millions veterans and bring it home

There have been way too many mistakes, and some have resulted in death and endangered our security. Ineffective leadership permeates the whole organization. That's why the best CEOs get paid so much (usually much too much), because they set a standard of excellence. Bush has lowered the standards and his supporters have lowered the bar in a pathetic attempt to make him look good. The next few years are going to be more of the same, more problems, more disasters, more mistakes. What a mess!

1. nobody is responsible
just us. We get all of the guilt, all the burden of the taxes and being the
human muscle that drives the war machine, and none of the authority or
liberty to control the bastard.

It has been that way for 100 years... and now its hard fascism, pretending
to be incompetent so that nobody is responsible and they can scapegoate whomever
they want with the swiftboat team.

The beast must be killed without a war, as the people of the earth are gonna
sure as hell make sure that this kinda shit ends, right pronto, and if the american
people have no control, then outside agents are gonna have to apply pressure, and
all of it will come down on the common joe.

So, as the common joe, the question arises, are you willing to take the pain that
will come in order to end the injustice? No pain, no gain. Incompetence at home
and blitzkrieg abroad, not a good combo at all....

3. I couldn't disagree more.
It's easier to try to rationalize the current administration by saying they are incompetent. The reality is they are cruel, selfish people, inebriated with power. The public needs to start accepting the truth, things will never be better as long as they are in control.
