1. Can you explain that graph? |
|
I'm not an Alexaphile (I think of it as something that Dilbertesque pointy-haired bosses like), but it looks like the "top" of the chart is 1000 daily hits and the "bottom" is 100,000. That is, the higher the line, the lower the traffic. And if I'm reading that right, we've been getting less traffic here since billbo started :(

2. Number one is best on that graph |

On one of the others, lower is better. As a test, try comparing it with something like Google or microsoft.com, the ones we know are highest.
EDIT: I'm wrong (AGAIN!) as higher appears to be better on all of them.

3. In Alexa Daily Traffic Rank trending...Lower IS Better |
|
Because it's a ranking graph, the lower number is better
In other words...if Google is Number 1...it's the highest ranked site on the Internet.
If someone's personal shoelace collection blog is ranked 23,035,496,931 that means out of all the zillion websites, the small personal blog is at the back of the pack.
On this one, LOWEST NUMBER IS HIGHEST RANK.
That's why they inverted the y-axis scale on the page rank graph, to give an intutitive graphing paradigm.
So...yes, DU is spiking deltas over the O'Lier and has a better page rank by far on a nearly constant basis.
(Lower number = Closer to the Number One in page rank in the entire Internet.)

That means O'liely fans aren't as dedicated as he says, nor is he as popular as he thinks. And his ranking is falling, so there is some good news at FoxNews.
EDIT: sp, of course.
