I was trying to say that when people say "Hurricane season" they are generally referring to the Atlantic season, and that, with very few exceptions, the Pacific season doesn't matter to the US.

...this Pacific storm will go the way of all Pacific hurricanes, follow the warm westerly flow of water and head out to sea before smacking into the colder currents to the north.
