World is blind to real situation in Iraq: activists

I'll only post one sentence from the article:

"Journalists have discovered that since 2003, parts of Baghdad have radiation levels 1,900 times higher than normal."

------------------

the green zone/bushmilhousegang embassy is in Baghdad. they all breathe the same air. how many of our troops already have cancers? a huge amount of Gulf One returning troops are already dead from cancer and related radiation poisoning.

radiation detectors are valuable things

2. I read in an article posted to LBN that in families of returned
troops, sometimes the kids born before the deployment are the only healthy ones.

We're going to be paying in blood for George W. Bush for generations.

4. after Gulf 1, leukemia and cancer rates soared...
radiation detectors would have been very handy. Too bad the sanctions kept them from getting any, they were considered "dual use".

5. Supposedly that is why so many Gulf War I Vets were discharged
...in such large numbers, to avoid the healthcare expense they saw coming down the pipe from the use of depleted uranium if these returning soldiers were allowed to remain in active service, and use veterans' healthcare services.

There is an extensive article by the Military Commander charged and appointed to control and clean up depleted uranium use munitions in the first Gulf War, who advised the military that it could not be done and the serious risks inherent in continuing its use, and who was promptly drummed out of the corp and advised he could not speak about his knowledge of military use of depleted uranium because it was classified. I understand he ignored the warning, and has noted so many people he knew personally who have succumbed to cancer since then that he refused to remain quiet.

I assume this article could be found using google.com but I don't have the link handy.
