the ominous warning from Israel of a possible terrorist
Edited on Thu Jun-01-06 01:14 AM by Bad Penny
attack (Iranian of course) next month during the World Cup in Germany has me really nervous. Because I truly can see it happening. And it would probably be the biggest horror spectacle of all of them. But if it does happen, and it's inevitably pinned on Iran, the world will know for sure the forces who are behind it. Iran is IN the World Cup. The country is soccer mad, like most countries on Earth. I will NEVER buy a sales pitch that Iran would sabotage a tournament its leaders are probably looking forward to watching their National team compete in as much as their people.

It would be unbelievably unprecedented and make no sense. But what with Spielberg's 'Munich' still fresh in people's minds, and the America public for the most part not tuned in to the World Cup of Soccer, it wouldn't stop Bush and Cheney et al from spinning it that way. I wouldn't put it past them to launch a war on Iran during the World Cup anyway regardless of whether there's terrorism or not. Arrogance and ignorance would bite these bastards back in the ass like nothing theyve ever felt if this came to pass. It's making the hair on my neck stand up the closer we get to June 9th. I hope I'm totally fvckin just paranoid on general principle here and nothing will happen. But it's a sitting duck.

Edited to add: The US is in the tournament too of course. But I highly doubt members of the Bush administration have spent even a few seconds thinking about the World Cup. What do they care.

1. There have been many such opportunities since 9-11
And why in bloody hell would Iran risk doing such a thing now, knowing Bush** has got his itchy finger on the trigger and is just waiting for an excuse to pop them?

Breathe deeply. Take it from whence it comes. The US and Israeli governments have a common goal where Iran is concerned and will try anything to stoke up the fear to garner public support for another war based on lies.

time to rev up the fear machine ahead of mid-term elections...

place your bets - when will we get a terra-lert in the US?

Within a week (+/-) of September 11?

Mid-October?

Week before midterms?

5. Propaganda to prime the pump
WASHINGTON: Israel will strike Iran’s nuclear facilities in the next “month or two or three,” an Israeli official has been quoted here as saying.

Staging a phony attack and blaming it on Iran in advance gives them the excuse to do what they've been planning all along.

7. This says it pretty well...
"By way of deception, thou shalt do war". Mossad Secret Service. No matter how far Israel goes, they will continue recieving a free pass by those who are too afraid to say, We're sorry a terrible man caused so much death and misery for your people, but there has to be a line drawn in how far we are willing to look the other way. The holocaust was probably one of, if not the most horrible event in human history, and I recognize that, but if any criticism of Israel only results in being told I am anti-semite, then dialogue on the matter is effectively shut down, swept under the table, quietly disposed of, and forgotten. Want to shut down any argument concerning Israel. Like lots of other topics, this has it's catch-all discussion-killing word too. Anti-Semite. You either are, or your not, with no room for discussion in-between, and no matter the consequences affecting the rest of the world. Thanks.
