I think Bush should give the almost $700,000 from Ken Lay back to |
|
those who ENRON stole from. It's more those poor folks money than Bush's and Chaney's. It was basically stolen money and now Bush has it.
Ken Lay gave $139,500 to Bush over the years. He chipped in $100,000 to the Bush Cheney Inaugural Fund in 2000 and $10K to the Bush-Cheney Recount Fund.
Plus, Enron's PAC gave Bush $113,800 for his '94 and '98 political races and another $312,500 from its executives. Bush got 14 free rides on Enron's corporate jets during the 2000 campaign, including at least two during the recount. Until January 2004, Enron was Bush's top contributor.

2. I think that the US government ought to give back the Enron money |
|
to the investors. It's the same deal as giving money to the WTC victim's families. It's all due to bush's gross negligence and complicity. It's precedence pure and simple.

3. Enron employees should sue Bush for any corporate contributions. |
|
That's if they can, because as things go, they will no longer have the right.

6. It would take integrity for someone to return that money. |
|
And that's just something Bush knows very little about, if anything.

And now that the verdict is in I think we have more of a right than ever to know if a convicted felon helped draft national energy policy.
If we can take back the house there has got to be a hearing.
