"Turtles Can Fly" - an Iraqi movie about the Kurds before
"shock and awe". Just saw it and it was really a remarkable film. Most of the characters are children... children without hands, or arms, or feet, or legs... portrayed by real Iraqi children with terrible disabilities. It is so very sad and worth watching. Beautiful.

9. Hi, I watched it, am now very sad, those kids.
The human condition is to help each other struggle through all the crap. These kids have so much, so hard, gone through so much. Now I am thinking of all the other children, living, dead, maimed. "enjoy", well, yes I did in a way. Thanks.

10. I'm glad you did. No matter how
thoughtful or compassionate we wish to be, sometimes we are unable to really empathize with the lives of people who suffer. The movie helps us do that and for that reason alone it's worth watching.

8. I didn't even notice I was reading it
Sometimes watching flicks with subtitles bothers me, but this one had so much spirit in it, I barely noticed.
