3. This game is a big deal!
Not necessarily because it will make gangs of armed pseudo-Christian thugs will hit the streets looking for you and me immediately after a game session, but because it is a step toward creating a comfort level with the idea of blowing away unbelievers. It's one of the building blocks in their ongoing effort to create an environment where the violent establishment of a fundie Xtian theocracy becomes possible. This MUST be held up to the light of day and be exposed, ridiculed, and utterly marginalized!

2. They are Evil
Only a sick demented evil person would condone a game like that. There is NOTHING Christian about a game that condones killing. The idea that they would make a game like this and call it Christian is sick and evil itself.

Yea, he's that guy who blames videogames for everything from the crucifixion to the DC sniper shootings. But for once, he's right.

How'd you like to travel to NYC and have a chat with some American Taliban types?

8. Did you see this on the right side of the screen?

A lovely screenshot of the game. The writing is from the site regarding the game.

Could such a violent, dominionist Christian video game really break through to the popular culture? Well, it is based on a series of books that have already set sales records - the blockbuster Left Behind series of 14 novels by writer Jerry B. Jenkins and his visionary collaborator, retired Southern Baptist minister Tim LaHaye. "We hope teenagers like the game," Mr. LaHaye told the Los Angeles Times. "Our real goal is to have no one left behind."

Apparently, someone involved with the marketing and distribution of this game is also involved with the Purposeful Driven Life Ministries . So... I guess the purpose of their driven life is to encourage violence against non-christians. How Godly of them. :eyes:

Left Behind Games plans to market directly to pastoral networks and mega-churches, using the same network marketing strategies that turned Mr. Warren's book The Purpose Driven Life into a best seller . Mr. Carver has a lot of expertise and connections in this area. Will Mr. Warren's mega-church be offering this game for sale to its members? Will Mr. Warren's global pastoral network be used to distribute the game? On the other hand, if Mr. Warren is unaware and uninvolved, do we think he will fire Mr. Carver for marketing a product that helps children practice killing New Yorkers?
