have some real whack jobs here. and, earlier today I read (don't remember if it was here on DU or another board I frequent) about an encounter in a bookstore: a person was having to special order a book, which wouldn't be in for a couple of weeks. the person behind her said that she didn't have to bother ordering the book, since the world was going to end today (this was yesterday)
then, of course, we have all those nutbars who had induced labors so their children would not have a 6/6/06 birthday. honestly!! I wonder how much money was made off the fear-mongering engendered by this (y2k anyone?)

I live in a fundie community.
I just haven't heard anyone who seriously thought anything was going to happen on 6/6/6
It's kind of "fun" to talk about it, like watercooler talk or something.
But nothing serious.
My wife isn't/wasn't pregnant, and I doubt she would have cared, and I wouldn't have made a big deal out of it if it happened.
It's just not something I would WANT to happen.
