That's the catch phrase for the Abu Ghraib scandal, a few bad apples committed the crimes and they were swiftly punished, but really, it was just a few bad apples.
The same phrase is now being used to dilute the horrors of Haditha and many other atrocities in Iraq and Afghanistan.
But the few bad apples that will never be punished for rotting out the whole barrel are still in the White House, soon to be retiring with honors and pensions.
If only we could just get rid of THOSE few bad apples.
