Bush administration taking credit for success of terror arrests in Canada! |
|
Edited on Thu Jun-08-06 11:02 AM by glarius
The arrogance of the Bush administration knows no bounds. I don't like to sound petty, but smooth Tony Snow, in his news briefing, just said, "intelligence operations conducted by this gov't have worked. We've seen evidence of that in Canada"....Really?...The arrests of the people in Canada were totally due to the co-operation and diligent work of the R.C.M.P (Mounties) and C.S.I.S. (Canadian Security Intelligence Service) and regional police!....For the Bushies to try to take credit is ludicrous. Remember the non co-operation of the F.B.I. and the C.I.A. when they were doing their keystone cops routine?

I've been wondering when he was going to take credit for it. I'd like one of those reporters to ask if spying on Americans' phone calls without a warrant had squat to do with breaking up that ring. We know damned well it didn't. It was good, international police work.

Perhaps this shows the difference between a reporter and a journalist.

local residents. I'm thinking they weren't too happy having such an infamous new neighbor on the block. Then the US military swooped in and dropped two 500 lb bombs on the place.
This wasn't exactly some intricate "cloak & dagger" intelligence spy game coup.
Tony Snow reads too much Tom Clancy.

6. My point is that the Bush government, thru their mouthpiece Tony Snow |
|
is trying to take credit for arresting the terrorists in Canada. This is completely UNTRUE!
