Have the Right Opinion

That is my advice to people who want to post here at DU. Take some time, figure out what the right opinion is and have that opinion.

Take Zarqawi, the right opinion on his death is not "Well he was a bastard so I guess it's good that he's gone." That is the wrong answer.

The right answer is to take this momentary triumph by our Military and President Bush and attack him over it. You might suggest that they are lying. You might suggest that Zarqawi was a pawn of the Bush Administration. Whatever makes Bush look bad works.

Because God knows Bush rarely does anything worth criticizing; we really need to trump up evidence against him if we are going to take him down. Right?

So remember - unless you want to be accused of being a troll or a secret freeper, always have the right opinion.

I happen to enjoy his posts. But is there anything about it that he actually *likes*? He basically said this whole place sucks. So why hang out here so much?

Seems to me that both sides of any argument here get supporters and detractors -- and that's something that *I* like very much.

The whole "there's no free speech on DU" thing is very tired.

Who gives a flip that Zarqawi is dead? It means nothing as far as stabilising Iraq goes, and will just be a small blip on the radar.

This isn't like a video game where you kill the boss at the end to win ultimate victory.

Zarqawi is not Bison, this is not Street Fighter.
