Wow! I'm The Sluttiest Whore! by Taints B. Adamsapple

Wow! I'm The Sluttiest Whore! by Taints B. Adamsapple is the number-one best-selling book on Amazon.com. Mission accomplished. And everyone played right into her spidery manhands. Actually, I'm not entirely sure all the fist shaking launched Wow! I'm The Sluttiest Slut! to number one. But it certainly didn't hurt.

That's not to say we shouldn't continue to watchdog the right-wing pundits and politicians. This isn't the usual case in which O'Reilly or Limbaugh or The President of the United States belches up an obvious lie -- a lie that calls for an immediate debunking using the truth and facts and a dose of outrage. Taintsgate was nothing more than someone yelling "Fire!" in a crowded theater in order to sell sexual favors in the parking lot. And I'm reasonably certain that even the most zombie-like followers of the Bush Cult found her on-air statements to be far beyond the realms of reason.

Even with those who, for reasons beyond comprehension, claim to subscribe to the views of Taints B. Adamsapple, her station in life is considered fringe at best. She has no role in public policy or legislation, she doesn't host a potentially influential nightly television show, and I seriously doubt a constitutional amendment banning 9/11 widows from the national discourse will be proposed. But why, then, give her an additional boost with a spanking from former presidential nominee Senator John Kerry? She in no way deserves that kind of additional street cred.

So really now, even though it was one of the most ludicrous and derogatory public statements ever made, her Today show remarks probably won't have long-lasting repercussions on American democracy. However, lending her and her book increased exposure by endlessly condemning her behavior will surely benefit Taints' bottom line. And by "bottom line", I mean "anal bleachings".

This book succeeds in a few ways: 1. The print does not run when exposed to water. 2. The binding keeps the pages together well (even when exposed to the common shower-related splashes that happen in my bathroom). 3. The cover is clean and bright, with a nice image. But it fails in a number of very important ways: 1. Its pages are nowhere near absorbent enough to do the job for which they were clearly intended. 2. The paper used is too inflexible and rough when crumpled. I fear I would need to use a heavy-duty moisturizer lotion after using this paper. 3. The pages do not easily tear away from the binding. 4. The book is too large to fit over a standard toilet roll dispenser. 5. This item is far more expensive than other toilet papers. In short, although the book's advantages mean that neither my dog or my three year-old daughter are easily able to pull the pages out and distribute them on the bathroom floor (as they do with other 'roll-type' toilet papers), and although the print will not rub off, the book is harder and more uncomfortable to use (and much more expensive) than real toilet paper. I can't recommend this item.

11. Obviously, a literary critic who knows "good documentatin'"...not.
Here's how it's done (in the reality-based/liberal world)

First, start with spelling and composition. THEN graduate to book critic.

9. On Coulter's Amazon #1 Rating: I Call "Shenanigans."
Edited on Fri Jun-09-06 12:47 PM by Dunvegan
I'm guessing that "Team Coulter" is simply indulging in one of the time-tested methods of shooting to the top of the Amazon charts via manipulation: Buying your own book until it hits number one.

Common enough practice: Buying a book to number one status (even done in special cases to boost a book onto the NYT Best Seller List.)

I'll suppose that someone, somewhere, is ponying up the cash to buy Coulter into infamy.

Mostly though, this makes sense because NO ONE is any longer THAT interested in her repetitive collected and bound insults. Really, she's utterly fact-free and recycles her own insults mercilessly. All of her so-called "books" are just pale imitations of each other.

Maybe a number of libraries buy her. I'll bet demand at libraries is high, due to people who do want to keep tabs on her decline into madness and paranoia...but do not want to enrich her by buying the book.

But library purchases alone hardly a best-seller make.

On Coulter's Amazon #1 Rating: I Call "Shenanigans."

I was going to ask about that (the number one rating).

I know via DU that's how a lot of RW whacko's make it to the top of the NY Times list.
