D.L. #1: Who do you fundraise for?

D.L. #2: Um....(mumbling)Bush...and some other Republicans

D.L. #1: Oh, really?

D.L. #2: Oh, you like him? (sounding very surprised)

D.L. #1: Oh, yes, I like him, I was at a fundraiser last month for George Allen!

D.L. #2: He's going to be our next President!

D.L. #1: I hope so, or at least the Vice President!

D.L. #2: No, he wants to be President.

(V.D. has to hold her head very tightly now before it explodes)

D.L. #1: Next month I'm going to a fundraiser where Dick Cheney is going to speak, I'm so excited.

D.L. #2: Oh, that's great!

Mark my words, friends, if George Allen is our next President, I for one, WILL have to drop out of society. It's bad enough living in a state where people elected that useless twat to the Senate, but President would just be too much for me to bear.

3. I spent a little over a year just outside DC in the early 70s

and at that time, the state was pushing bumperstickers that said "Virginia is for Lovers!" Some friends of mine got a whole pile of them and cut and pasted them into "Virginia is for LOSERS!"

I see things really haven't changed that much there. Back then, they were fanatically pro Nixon, as smug and nasty as any 29 percenter today.

Just console yourself with the fact that Ditzy Ladies are in a small and shrinking minority. Most folks are starting to shake off that Reagan induced hypnosis and realize the pubbies do NOT have our interests at heart.
