I saw the film yesterday.
I don't want to spoil anything for anyone, but there is an 'ending' theme throughout the film. A 'Texas' company moves in on the show, for one thing.
The theme bothered me greatly for awhile until I connected it to my real world for the last two days. Only hours before seeing the film - I came across something on the C-Span Home page about the threat to the existence of C-Span. The FCC and Republicans are threatening C-Span. This came on top of the news from Thursday (or Friday?) about the threat to PBS.
Here is the link about C-Span - there is a little more at the top of their screen on their Home page.

About the movie - I loved it. I may not get all the brilliance of it until I've seen it a few more times. Let me alert you to something to watch for - the cut of the suit and hairstyle in the part played by Kevin Kline (Guy Noir) and the statue and other little gems.
This is not a super duper polished film that filmgoers who fancy themselves critics are used to - but it will 'live' for a long time. And the content theme is all timely.
My only regret is that Tim Russell, Dworsky and the Shoe Band, Robin and Linda Williams and some others didn't get enough parts.
P.S. Does anyone know of a site where people are participating in discussion about the film?
