Gingrich on C-Span trying to cast himself as the Repuke version of Al Gore
Newt is interviewing Alvin Toffler and name dropping Al Gore as a fellow futurist from the political arena.

1. Futurist? Somehow conservative and futurist ideas seem opposed to
one another. I've never been able to figure these guys out.

2. please please please let gingrinch be on the repuke ticket
Edited on Sun Jun-11-06 02:17 PM by Skip Intro
God I hope he is!

Tho it would be all the more reason the Dem ticket should not include Hillary. (because we could project a vision for the future, not of the past, in contrast to the contract-on-america retread).

On edit: our slogan could then be something like, "been there, done that - its time for a change" - or something along those lines...

3. It doesn't matter what the Democrats think of Newt...
Only if the Repubs will come out to vote for him. Right now, I would think he might look pretty good to most of them. They are desperate.

4. The only comparison I can see....
is they are both male.

If Gingrich got in, we wouldn't even be switching to a new boat. Same old, same old. How many schoolyard bullies are in the Republican party, anyway?

5. I'm afraid I'd have to actually see proof on Gingrich's part.

6. Yeah, I rephrased that a couple times, but
the only other thing I could think of was that they are both breathing. :P
