desperate? national guard propaganda given out at the movies... |
|
my husband went to see x-men the other day, and came home with a small plastic card - seems to have a magnetic stripe on the back. the front has a flag and says "wear the guard colors." also, it says "exclusive offer - free i-tunes music download," and gives you an internet address and redemption code.
you can also get a free t-shirt and dvd just for talking to a recruiter!
what more can a person want - an enlistment bonus up to $20,000 - money for college - serve your country and community, and career training. all you have to do is survive physically and mentally.
they had a national guard commercial when i took my son to see "hoot" the other day. this is the next step, i guess.

Were does the money come from for the huge advertising budget for the Military? Why your tax dollars, of course. So be happy your taxes are being used to blitz impressionable youths to join up. http://www.gao.gov/new.items/d06134.pdf#search='what%20is%20the%20DoD%20advertising%20budget'"For democracy, any man would give his only begotten son.
