6. I used to be pissed, now I'm just disappointed

There's just too much to be pissed at. When we get down to the roots of our problems they too often come back to us, we slept and got involved in our own lives while someone stole our future. Drug war, prison growth, media consolidation, corporate growth, partisan politics, we sat and watched it all develop and didn't do anything till too late.

Anger now isn't going to fix it, all that accomplishes is to keep us at each others throats rather than focused on the problems. We've got plenty of reason to be pissed but no time for it.

9. Pissed and facing reality...

I'm at the point where I realize that this administration is going to do what it wants, when it wants and to whom it wants.

They're doing it slowly---and getting the public used to the Fascism and loss of freedom. Lesser minds won't notice and evil minds are cheering them on.

However, there's us--the progressives--we've been screaming about this stuff since Junior stole the first election. Despite our screaming, complaining and blogging--the march toward the desecration of our democracy plunges forward. These bastards are right on schedule with their PNAC plans perfectly on target.

I am accepting the fact that there is nothing I can do. All of this will happen no matter what I do--what Senators I write to or what protests I attend.

They're doing to do exactly what they want to do. I'm a powerful, thoughtful person--but I'm powerless to stop this.

All I can do is live my life, keep informed, prepare and accept reality. I'm tired of being outraged, pissed, sickened, upset. I'm tired of seeing the awful pictures from Iraq. I'm tired of waking up, hearing about a new BushCo scandal and thinking, "This is it! They'll never worm their way out of THIS one!"

...and they always do.

I've accepted that this disgusting vermin will do, say and enact anything they damn well please. I'm just not going to mentally fight this any more. It's not worth it.

They're going to do whatever they damn well please, regardless of my feelings.
