These numbers are always bullshit. They always act as if all drugs are the same quality, usually the highest, when determining street value, so the DA can stick them as hard as possible. Anyone who uses knows better.

That said, I can think of a lot of things to do with 40 pounds of even the shittiest weed, heh, heh.

The price they use is based on high end street prices for small quantities. Unless you plan to personally bag up the 40 pounds and move it by the gram theres no way you could ever turn 40 pounds of MJ into that much cash.

It is understandable that law enforcement would be focused on the street price though. Keeping drugs expensive is a huge part of the drug war.

According to the story, all the vanities with special bonus items enclosed were shipped from a manufacturer's distribution center in Texas to a Home Depot distribution center (or, more accurately, transfer facility) in Massachusetts, then all were delivered to one Home Depot.

This is a very good scheme if all goes right: no one would ever suspect a vanity as a drug container, and if you return the vanity after removing the special bonus items, your freight is free.

There are only a couple of problems with such a scheme, tops among them being that, as with this case, someone might buy the Special Offer vanity before your guy gets up there for it. There's also the fact that you can probably smell a hundred pounds of marijuana from six aisles away, and the incidental fact that the packdown crew is gonna notice if a vanity weighs a hundred pounds more than it's supposed to.

All you needy weedheads need to visit our Garden Centers. We've got this one live-goods vendor who keeps fucking up and sending us container goods with marijuana plants growing in the pots next to whatever's supposed to be in there. It doesn't happen every shipment, but we get about ten marijuana plants a year. We get RTV credit for every marijuana plant we find, but we don't have all day to examine every plant we sell for bonus plants...
