HANG TOUGH, DEMS!! It's not "cut and run." It's "do the right thing!"
Win or lose, it's the right thing to do. How secure is a nation that is decaying from within, losing its humanity and moral soul to a military industrial corporate complex that is making fat cats fatter and bankrupting our children and grand children? What the hell are our soldiers fighting and dying for if not to protect lies, half-truths, distortions, oil, and Israeli interests in the ME? How can we say we are fighting to spread freedom and democracy in the ME when we do not honor elections in the Palestinian territories or elections in our sourthern hemisphere? How are we making America safer by forcing democracy (our own particular brand of democracy) down the throats of people whose culture has little in common with our own and at the same time claim friendship and partnership with a government that came into power by overthrowing a duly elected government and replacing it with a military hunta (Pakistan) while ignoring all international rules for making nukes? Almost every ME nation that we call our friend is neither a democracy nor are the people free, and we can start with Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.

If they want to call it "cut and run" so be it. It sure as hell is better than "stay the course and ignore the loss."

1. Someone here tonight said it's "cut and run" or "stay and bleed."
I think that's a wonderfu turn of phrase. We should all be using it.

Please use the search function to find the original post. It deserves wider publicity.

4. Another point
Conservatives think people should stand on their own and should not get hand outs. How long are we going to coddle the Iraqis and keep them from taking control of their own lives? How long are we going to give them welfare? How much are we spending there compared to what we spend on welfare here? And Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11.

6. We are spending 300 mil a DAY in Iraq
According to MSNBC. The Iraq Constitution says all Iraqis will be entitled to health care regardless of income. We'll keep on paying.

8. It's amazing to be how bad the Democrats are at the word game.
Especially since they are so often called the "intellectual elitist" party by their opponents. There shouldn't be a donkey in DC that isn't accusing Bush of "sending our troops out on suicide runs". That's a nasty piece of language, to be sure, but it serves the purpose. No matter what part of that accusation the Republicans deny, they by default bear the brunt of the rest of it. Even when you defend yourself against a charge like that, you're already in the hole, from a PR standpoint.
