3. Maybe not "afraid", but wary. |
|
He will stoop to any dirty, lowdown, unethical, amoral tactic or ploy to keep his "people" in power.

4. I See What You're Saying, But |
|
I would never cower in a corner because of what he has done in the past. Even if he slithered out of the CIA thing (& I don't think that's done yet), I think his perceived status and pull have been greatly diminished.

21. Rove is dangerous if our Dem leaders don't support our candidates. |
|
They are going to go on the "traitor", "coward","cut and run Dems" etc. attack again. Look at how the immigration debate if going. The Democratic leadership has to be prepared to STAND UP to these guys. They HAVE to go on the attack whenever one of ours is in the line of fire. (Not if they are corrupt, that's different), but they must be very vocal. No more of this nice guy crap. When a dem is attacked, they have to come out swinging. They have to be so outrageous that there sound bites make it onto the news.
Look at Murtha yesterday. They tried that on him and he made the guy who was claiming that Murtha was a cut and runner look like a fool.
The only way we can win is if our leaders stop playing politics, stop giving a sh__ what the polls say and start standing up and shouting these aholes down!!!!!

5. Yes, because he plays the sheeple like a fiddle. |
|
He knows how to sway voters by appeals to their base instincts. Democrats continue to take the high road and end up road kill in Rove's slime machine.
Until we find an antidote for Rovism, we need to be worried.

6. Of course we do !!!! Sorry you threw in the word "wonderful" |
|
but I picked that choice anyway.
Our party is un-unified, disorganized, an extremely lacking in political savy. The best our PR firms could come up with is Time for a Change or New Direction or whatever it is ? 43 members of the house voted with a lying, cheating, criminal yesterday. Although they may all have good hearts, and believe in democratic ideals, they are far from wiley. And we are going up against a master at savy dirty tricks. As pure evil as Rove is, he is effective.
We had better be scared of him. I can already see the whole scenario unfolding.
"Dems don't want to fight terror. Look, if we had done what they said, Zarqawi would be alive today. Fight them over there - see, it's working!"

7. Do you realize that half the people in the US thinking he's doing |
|

a good job, or never heard of him, or are unsure???
Isn't that amazing? We here know so much about him - and hate him so much - and half the people like him or don't give a shit..

8. Look at the Bush administration under Roves tutelage |
|
Its been a train wreck from the first day. It's like a really pathetic keystone cops movie. Everything has been a disaster. How anybody could consider this guy a "genius" is beyond me.

10. You are right - but his strength is in stealing elections. Look, in |
|
04 - Bush had already fucked everything up - royally. And he still "won" albeit with cheating. But he maybe was legitmately close enough to throw in some fraud to steal it an even Kerry didn't fight to the end.
My point - Bush could be as bad as Hitler and Rover would figure out a way to spin it enough to "win."

9. Rove is ruthless but he's not that smart |
|
He's certainly not as smart as either he or the 29% think he is.
We do need to be wary in the same way we're wary around snarling dogs.

Dems shouldn't be scared of him (his strategy counts on Dems being scared) but we do need to find ways to effectively combat his influence.
I agree with the poster who says he's in alliegance with Satan.

because to Fear something gives it more power than it actually in reality has. Somewhere -- lurking in the shadows, methinks -- are brilliant Dem strategists who could give Karl a run for his money, difference being, of course, that the Dems wouldn't do skeevy phone jamming, cleanse the voter rolls type stuff.
So, the Dems shouldn't fear him. He should be the symbol of derision and laughter that he, in essence, already is. No better way to take the wind out of his sails than to not pay attention to him or fear his "brilliance."

14. Fear the compliant media not Rove |
|
Rove wouldn't be shit if it wasn't for the media being completely willing to leave his lies and spin unchallenged. If the media would mindlessly echo everything I tell them to say people would consider me a political genius.

16. Well, hes done wonders for Bushs poll numbers |
|
His policies have all failed. (social security, gay marriage ban,WMDs etc)
So no, why would anyone fear this guy whos obviously not getting it done.
He jumped onboard the conservative bandwagon while it was surging a while back, and then he takes credit for it. Nonsense. Hes all hype and no substance.

to be afraid. It's not just kkkarl. It's the whole repub political machine. They have billionaires contributing to those phony conservative institutes. They finance all kinds of dirty tricks under the radar of campaign finance. That whole Amway pyramid scheme of the ranger, pioneer, bosshog, contribution ladder of money making and influence peddling is some scary shit. And he doesn't care how he destroys reputations or lives to get what he wants. He's effing good at what he does.

19. Don't fear him, but fail to take him serious at *our* peril |
|
He's really got one note ..... he knows how to propel evocative words and concepts that strike at people's emotions and subconscious and to do so with utterly no scruples. In actual fact, were it not for a compliant media he would be much less successful.
He is what he is, it is easy to define. But so too is his record of getting his guys in office. That's the fact. Ignore it at our own peril.

22. If Karl Rove was a Democrat, he'd either be in prison or a public joke. |
|
Edited on Sat Jun-17-06 01:47 PM by Marr
He would've been sidelined years ago when he bugged his own office and tried to suggest his opponents had done it.
The media helps Rove with his little games, and the good ol' boys look out for one another. Add to that the fact that he only ever appeals to peoples' most base motivations (hate, fear, greed), and he's even less impressive. He's getting subsidies to sell candy to children, if you know what I mean. Rove is no genius.
