AFP: Photo of Cheney Nodding Off at Iraq Meeting

Remember the photos of Vice President Cheney's catching a catnap during the recent visit to Washington by the leader of China? Well, that wasn't the only time he needed forty-winks at an important public function. Seems likes Cheney had trouble keeping his eyes open during Bush's crucial meeting at Camp David on June 13 for the cabinet

5. Thanks for posting, kpete.
This kind of thing makes its way around other news groups. They are keeping track of this sort of thing over in the 'DU Groups', how often he's caught napping, and so on.

This guy needs to be watched.

12. The Decider doesn't seem to give a
damn that his "#2 man" is sleeping on the job. They're probably only reading one of those boring PDB's anyway.

16. Wonder if he has speel apnea? A relative of mine has it, and
he nods off during the day, every time he sits down and isn't interacting with something, like conversation, eating dinner, etc. I find it very odd that Cheney's been caught nodding off quite often lately. My guess is apnea or some other sleep disorder that prevents him from sleeping at night!

17. Or congestive heart failure
My dad had it towards the end and always nodded off during the day. Or it might be some really good pain medicine. A couple of percocets affect me like that.

21. OSA
He may have Obstructive Sleep Apnea?

Clearly he has some sort of problem - NORMAL adults simply DO NOT fall asleep at inappropriate moments. Unless they have some type of 1) Sleep disorder, 2) Drug Problem, or 3) trypanosomiasis.
