Murtha on MTP
Since I haven't seen any post on this I thought I would let everyone know that Murtha did a good job of debunking the Administration's cut and run accusations of the Dems. He was very passionate and you could tell he was impatient with Karl Rove and his speech in New Hampshire. He even said the words STAY AND PAY, accusing the bushies of not having a coherent plan. He made sure to let viewers know that Rove was playing politics with people's lives. Talked about the 8 Billion in cost that could go to schools, etc. Said that the bombing of Zarquawi(?) was done from outside of Iraq and therefore redeployment was a no brainer. (Paraphrasing) If you get a chance, watch it, then go about your normal business when Timmy interviews the oil company execs who are in la-la land.

2. I am watching now
Timeeeeh tried to label all the dems as "cut and run" ... Murtha pointed out that if that was the case then the majority of America is now cut and run because the polls show that the people want us out.

Murtha is doing very well. He is passionate and it shows.

4. "failed policy wrapped in illusion," $8.4 trillion debt, at least Murtha
put a number on it. Note BushCo won't touch that issue.

5. stay and pay

stay and pay - hope it sticks. nowdays you got to get your message out in johnny cochran sound crumbs.

I prefer stay and die, but I like hyperbole, anyway.

war has cost USA $450 billion so far, yes?

who the fuck is ever going to benefit besides the military-industrial-congressional complex? Wouldn't it be easier if we just signed the profits over to them and avoid the middleman of executing everything you need for war.

Here's your money, you greed heads. It's the same as the profit you'd make after all your planes and rockets and tanks are built and consumed. Just get the hell out of here.

6. Now the oil companies are getting their 45 minutes of unrestricted
time to push their BS. Potato Head is setting up the questions and letting them ramble on and on. This is just a prelude to another attack on the Arctic National Refuge. Count on it. They keep saying they need to explore for new resources of oil.

10. Hofmeister's evil grin really scares me. Shell: Good name.
Like, as in "Shell game."

All three of them are refusing to consider letting go of their dynasties. There's a shocker.

"We're not gouging: It's a global market...Europe is higher (except that alot of that is government tax....)"

I wonder why they even agreed to go on the show, except that their egos demand this spotlight.

11. Corporate media-Big Oil-BushCo cronyism is really cooking here on Timmie's
show. Put 3 Big Oily heads together to talk about the need to develop more oil here in the US, meaning on the Continental Shelf, Alaska and the Rocky Mt. Front, because "energy independence is going in the wrong direction."

What a bunch of BS---I think I will write NBC to give the media whore a piece of my mind.

7. Rove sitting on his fat ass in his air conditioned office while troops are
carrying 70 lb. gear in the hot weather.

He said he didn't know Rove's service history.. I hope someone clues in him real soon. He'l;l be even angrier with Rove.
