The only bullets Karl Rove has ever dodged were legal.

Last week, after learning he would avoid indictment for his role in the sliming of an Iraq war critic, Rove had this to say about two men who risked death in service of country, John Murtha and John Kerry:

"Like too many Democrats, it strikes me that they are ready to give the green light to go to war, but when it gets tough and when it gets difficult they fall back on that party's pattern of cutting and running."

In any sentence with the names Kerry, Murtha and Rove, there is only one possible coward. It's not the Pennsylvania congressman nor the Massachusetts senator.

7. Awesome editorial!

I sent it to the Austin paper with a note explaining as a veteran I was personally deeply offended by Rove's rhetoric, especially as he had never served a single day in a military uniform of any sort. I further stated Mr. Satullo's eloquence far exceeded my own and requested they reprint his editorial on behalf of veterans such as myself.

11. Not ONE of the Repubs would dare say those words to Kerry and Murtha's

face - - I don't know what Murtha had to do in his service, but chances are he was in the same position as Kerry - having to kill someone shooting at your crew, and having to do it with your bare hands. A very unfortunate situation, but one that saved the lives of an entire crew.
