How can we say that we value our children, that we cherish them, and yet these are the same children that we send to die?

join our already bloated military. We sign them on with bonuses b/c let's face it, only a child would join up for wars that are fought for liars, by liars, and with liars. Its certainly clear that only a child would expect a fair trade; $6000 for your rotten little life, or arm or legs or mind. Certainly no clear thinking adult would do such a thing. Would they?

Then, once they've signed on, we change their MOS, declare them eligible for up to three combat tours and defend cutting their VA benefits. Every dead nineteen year old we see come up on the news, every 'hoping to make their parents proud' kid knew his government would screw him in the ass.


And finally, we hide them. No caskets on the news, no funerals, no photop's of any politicians at funerals....hell, we'll probably ban them from the 4th of July parades. Hide the $455 billion military from the "adults" who serve or who are served by the kid, the adult, the son , the daughter.

Do you remember what it was like to be 18? I do- too well.
