New 'Nicotine Water' Targets Flying Smokers
New 'Nicotine Water' Targets Flying Smokers

POSTED: 2:43 pm EDT June 19, 2006
UPDATED: 2:57 pm EDT June 19, 2006

A new drink containing nicotine has been created for smokers who have to fly or find themselves in a place where they can't light up, according to a Local 6 News report.

Developers in California who invented Nic Light said the drink is the equivalent of smoking two cigarettes.

Testers said it tastes like water, with a hint of lemon and nicotine.

"You know I think it's a good idea if it's going to keep smoke away from the people who don't like it," a traveler said.

Well, at a pack of smokes a day you would need 10 bottles. Calling my stock broker now...

But even chicken doesn't taste like chicken any more.

3. God almighty---anything to make a buck. Sounds ghastly.
I have a feeling this will not be a big seller.

4. Reminds of the time I woke up deadly thirsty, grabbed a bottle
of water on my husband's bedside table, taking huge gulps before realizing he had spit his chewing tobacco out in it the night before.

I was sick all day.:puke:

8. Nicotini's were quite the rage for a while
after NYC banned smoking in bars. Does anyone know if they still have those? Seems like you could o.d. on nicotine if it wasn't mixed with the alcohol, on which you'd o.d. first...

9. As a Commit lozenge addict, this sounds great!
I've been wondering forever how GlaxoSmithKline can get away selling nicotine "candy" and charge whatever they want (they charge about 2 times what I spent on real cigarettes). There's a gigantic market for CHEAP alternative nicotine replacement methods.

13. They need to target retail people
We have some serious butt fiends on staff...you'll find 'em under the smoking tent seven, eight, sometimes ten times a day. Which of course pisses me off because if any of the people who don't smoke were to take more than two breaks a day they'd get written up.

I can wholeheartedly support this product because it would help keep some of these people in the building where they belong.
