Presbyterians Vote To Approve Gay Clergy
History on the move. This is a big defeat for the religious right and a big victory for people who believe in human civilization.

1. A few years ago when I moved to a new city
the local Presbyterian church sent us a postcard that read like a position paper for DU: they advocated strong public schools, unions, workers' rights, social responsibility, and human rights. They invited us to join, but we were already members! My hubby and I were married many years ago in a Presbyterian chapel, and one of my earliest memories is of the Presbyterian minister denouncing MLK's assassin from the pulpit.
