Ney to Temporarily Cede House Panel Chair
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060116/ap_on_go_co/ney_abramoff

WASHINGTON - Rep. Bob Ney (news, bio, voting record), an Ohio Republican implicated in a lobbying corruption investigation, said Sunday he will step aside temporarily as chairman of the House Administration Committee.

"Unfortunately it has become clear to me in recent days that the false allegations made against me have become a distraction to the important work of the House Republican Conference and the important work that remains ahead for the House Administration Committee," Ney said in a written statement.

That was a reference to a scramble by Republicans in the House and Senate to come up with a new set of rules governing lobbying and travel as a way to inoculate themselves politically from the scandal unfolding around the guilty plea of lobbyist Jack Abramoff.

Democrats are offering their own plan this week.

9. Rats are jumping ship.
The farther from the stench the better. Time for the fun to start. You know, when they start to eat their own.

7. That's true
It's like with DeLay. He was all about fighting and staying as majority leader and than out of nowhere he was called to step down by the other republicans. Gee, I wonder why they were so worried. These aren't the type of people who easily change their minds.

8. What gets me about Ney and DeLay is
that they stay in the House even though all this crap is falling on them. Both saying they are innocent. Are they just so full of arrogance or do they think the "fix" is in and they will get off scott free?

10. They hold a major key,
they are a part of election fraud 2004. Bush has to spring them or rub them out.

The man is part and parcel to election fraud if there is a merciful and just God in
heaven this too will come out. The S.O.B. stonewalled Conyers by not not letting him
get subpoena power to look at the Ohio 2004 vote and over saw a "kangaroo court"
that "looked at" the Ohio vote in March of 05.

besides PETA wants him for the dead fox squirrel on his head.
