7 Charged in Alleged Plot to Blow Up Sears Tower

I like that they "sought to work with Al Quaida" yeah I am sure their applications were on Osama's to do list.

When might people realize that this is the difference between amateurs and pros (for the most part)...

GETTING CAUGHT.

1. Caught terrorists = Must be an election year
Cynical, yes. And I DO watch the Daily Show, but I thought for myself long before Jon Stewart took over the Daily Show.

I do not need the Daily Show to be cynical.

2. What makes everything so bullshit is the fact that they brush off
events and say - oh no one's in danger - we don't need to raise the alerts. You would only say that IF you had somehow played a role in the thing. Case in point, the capture in Canada - CONdi -- within ONE freaking day, said US wasn't in danger. And no, Chertoff didn't think we needed to raise the alert. NOW WHAT PRUDENT PERSON, RESPONSIBLE for OUR SAFETY WOULD SAY THOSE THINGS?????? THAT IS EXACTLY WHEN THE ALERTS SHOULD BE RAISED. IF IT WAS LEGIT..

Here's the terror alert chart - I checking Homeland Security website - except for a cyber alert - not one single alert since the election. So you are right, they have licked the terrorists !! Why then, haven't they shouted that from the rooftops??

3. Do we have a DU pool > when they announce connection to Iran?
Or find some Iranian stamps on a passport one of the suspects just happened to have on him at time of arrest?

The alert thing REALLY dropped off when people like KO started discussing (on TV) the amazing coincidence that alerts occurred when the WH was in a lot of trouble.

Didn't former Homeland Duct Tape Head Salesman Tom Ridge even make comments that it was used politically?

They had to duck and cover from their own all-purpose cover story - Terra Terra!

4. It is quite odd though isn't it. If you were in charge, wouldn't
you want to use the alerts? An honest leader would want to because if there was a real threat, because they cared about the people and if they didn't use an alert - it would be really bad. It's almost like they know we are not going to get attacked. Have you heard that theory that the Bush's made a gentlemen's agreement with the Saudis and Bin Laden family. The US will not capture Bin Laden and in exchange there would not be an attack on the US. That is really scary. If the BFEE can really manipulate like that, what's to keep them from giving the Saudi's a green light to attack if a dem get's to be president.

5. Since I'm more of a MIHOPer, what the Sauds do matters little
in my mind. They have their hands full just trying to keep their own populations from storming their palaces and putting them to the sword.

Think the BFEE takes orders from the Sauds rather than manipulates them. They do seem to agree on much, you are right about that.

6. You would have gone "ah ha" if you had just heard Lynn Samuels
(I love her) on Talk Left. She believes that this terror plot in Miami was a way to divert attention from the fact that it was just exposed that the government is now looking at all financial records. And -- that they saw these "scary black people" as perfect pawns. A way to kill two birds with one stone. Get the general pop all riled about about terror and inflame racist tendencies at the same time. She also thinks that the government, in some capacity staged/performed the atrocities on those two soldiers kidnapped and killed last week - in an effort to raise the scare/hate level.

Sometimes things are just to damn coincidental to happen at the same time. Senate Debate on Iraq - terror threat exposed, soldiers kidnapped and tortured....

7. It's working. The government is working hard to scare the daylights
out of the gullible.
